The new rim is manufactured in France in the Mavic factory. It is 2mm wider at 30mm internal width. It's weight to strength ratio has been carefully optimized by our engineers, benefiting from all Mavic expertise in rim extrusion design. It features their patented and exclusive ISM technology to leave only the necessary aluminum thickness where needed : beefier at the spoke hole, ultra thin in between spoke holes.
The new wider inner rim channel eases tyre installation, even with the hardest and strongest enduro and downhill tyres. The Fore drilling keeps the upper bridge undrilled. Consequently, the rim is fully sealed by design, and you don't need to mess around with tubeless tape. A guarantee for fast tyre swap in the morning of the race and perfect airtightness for your tubeless set up.
Also, the Fore drilling makes spoke replacement super easy, without having to remove the tyre, the disc or the cassette. You can even replace a spoke on the trail side with one of the spare spokes delivered with the wheel.
Mavic new heavy duty Infinity HD hub shell for straight pull spokes prevents any spoke ejection, while keeping trailside spoke replacement easy. And you get a single spoke length for both front and rear wheels, left and right side.
Finally to protect the rim aesthetic and keep it shiny longer despite the assault of rocks and dust, we use our unique BlackShield double surface treatment.
Deemax Enduro SL 29 front comes in Boost 15x110 mm configuration and is compatible with 20x110 mm Boost spacing thanks to optional adapters
